Shadelle Fuller Denson Scholarship

The Shadelle Fuller Denson Scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Shadelle Fuller Denson who strived for excellence in every aspect of her life. She was a native of Atlanta, GA and had a passion for education. She truly lived her life as a public servant. Most of her professional career was spent between the Atlanta Public School System and Fulton County School System where she later retired as an administrator after 35 years of educating young minds. Education was at the forefront of her life and she was an integral part of her community. During her lifetime she faithfully supported the HBCU community but no university could compare to her beloved alma mater Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. She received two degrees from Tuskegee Institute, now Tuskegee University, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy (1977) and Master’s of Arts in Education (1979).  She was a longtime member of Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church and served on numerous ministries. Each year,  Shadelle Fuller Denson Scholarship will offer a scholarship to graduating seniors who are members of Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church that will attend Historically Black College or University.
